WHO WE ARE
CruiseMaine serves as a support resource for all Maine’s cruise communities. In many ways, we begin as a liaison, whether it’s to our regional marketing alliance, Cruise Canada New England; to various state agency partners; or to the cruise industry. CruiseMaine also helps to manage Portcall - the scheduling platform for all cruise ship calls to the state, and assists with destination management programs for ports such as the portshare promise in Portland and Rockland. We recognize that each port city or town has different needs and capacities, so we prioritize meeting each community where they are and finding a way to help them further their goals.

PORT SHARE PROMISE
At a Glance
Across Portland and Midcoast Rockland, PortShare Promise programs work to ensure that cruise-season activity benefits both residents and visitors. Portland gathers community insights through SeeClickFix, and Rockland uses a streamlined feedback form to hear from residents and local businesses.

MAINE BUSINESS STORIES
Hear directly from four local business owners about how cruise visitors impact our core communities.

Portland
“The elevated energy cruise tourism brings to the city is vital to all businesses in the downtown Portland area, especially the small businesses that thrive on this seasonal activity. There is nothing we love more than interacting with these visitors who come to explore our unique custom offerings and take home a special piece of Maine.”
